Just sent in a secure message myself, expressing concern. Their reply is below. This all seems a bit weird to me. It's not like Amex to make such a huge change without informing people. Even if it does only turn out to be temporary, this is certainly nudging me more towards Chase. Until the MR Earn issue is resolved, I'm at least temporarily only really using my Amex PRG for flights & groceries (5x on Chase Freedom for gas at the moment).
