But this was an 0800 departure - certainly not coming in from Europe the same day before the EWR-MCO leg.

Don't most European flights arrive EWR (and IAD, for that matter) early - mid afternoon and leave early evening? Is that really enough time to reliably be able to schedule a 3-hrs-each-way FL turn? Sure, there may be a couple of opportunities for a noonish arrival from Europe and one of the very late Europe departures but I would think those are rather rare.

(I am not suggesting the MCO market warrants this type of premium seating. Just trying to figure out the math of squeezing in FL turns between incoming and outgoing European flights.)
