Honduras border crossings are fairly corrupt. They at least now "post" the extortion fees. I crossed into/out-of/into/out-of a few months ago and don't need to see those folks again.

I always tell folks that US Immigration is the worst in the world. How can they give me more trouble as a citizen than I get from any other country in the world I enter as a visitor? Amazing. One time the guy asks me, "Where do you work?" I tell him Hewlett-Packard. He says, "do they work with anything nuclear?" I say, "Yeah, probably." And thru I went. I think I surprised him!

When I came back from Cuba via Canada and did the border Niagara Falls, I got busted. "Oh my boss is going to have a field day with you," says the official. His other doozey? "Oh, if you just told us you had the Cuban Rum, we would have let you have half of it."

Jerks.
