Rules say you have to be 18 or over unless you are with a parent or guardian. If you are emancipated then maybe they can make an exception but it's for liability purposes. If you trip and fall and hurt yourself then the club and AA can be liable. You can thank shady lawyers for all these frivolous lawsuits that makes everyone so uneasy.
Technically those rules are for membership. I don't think OP is paying for a membership. The relevant rules aren't about membership they are about lounge access as a benefit of EXP. Personally, if AA wasn't offering me something that they promise my status because of my age, I'd ask for some sort of compensatory benefit.
