Thanks for all the info. My lingering question though is since the no-show will only be registered at T-15 or so, and as you say the system will react some time after that, and mrs. snaporaz will physically be on the plane at that point, what will happen? Will they retroactively charge her (or me, since they have my CC) for the luggage and EC? I mean people - even on the same PNR - miss flights all the time whether they SDC or not. What happens to the hapless person who made it on time?
