Good quality instant would be better in other parts of the plane. It can be yuckety-yuck.
If I ever have the good fortune to travel in F again* I'll give it another try, but didn't try it on my last F due to the bad coffee on my previous F. So let's compare CW coffee with UA Y coffee then. Again, no contest.
Personally I don't think vile is a strong enough word! Leaving First alone for the moment, I agree with you - instant would be better for all other parts of the plane!

* To me it didn't seem worth the extra 25000 miles to AFU from CW, but maybe that's just me, and I don't have 100s of thousands of Avios hanging around. So I think it would either have to be an op-up or when using a 241.
