I like to believe I'm a fairly attractive young single female passenger, and I've had my share of "hitting on me" experiences that end poorly but none that have ended well.

I'm fine talking for a little bit on the plane to someone, and more-so if there's a connection, but I do get annoyed when it becomes blatant flirtation on their side and I'm not interested, especially when it starts to interfere with my reading or sleeping time. I try the "evil eye" while reading the book trick (All the while just ignoring their talking) and am surprised at how rarely it works! Are people that dense?

The worst - this was probably my most terrifying experience on a plane - don't ever think just cause you've said 'Hi' and I've said it back that it gives you liberty to put your hand on my leg. Especially on a red eye once the lights dim. I about socked that guy and looking back on it, I should have. ::shuddering:: Absolutely horribly skin-crawling.

Oh, also, don't approach at 5:30AM when I haven't even finished my coffee yet, you're easily twice my age, and you tell me something like "Wow, you have pretty eyes." Um, no. Go away. Now.

So yea, I'm all about meeting someone cute/nice in the airport or in the lounge, but looking back at the track record of those that seem to approach... ugh. Where do these people come from? I think Hollywood lied about those gorgeous single bachelors on planes
