What were the most useful pieces of advice you got when you started flying?

Thinking about business travel mainly, are there any wise pieces of advice that you got when you started flying regularly and which you still follow? Or that you have picked up for yourself over the years and pass on to newbies? The wisdom of the air, in other words, from the experienced?
