-Two open jaws are permitted per roundtrip award. For example, you can fly from Newark to London and return from Paris to Washington Dulles.
The above example from UA's site are the two ways I think of an openjaw. In April I booked an award with a stopover and openjaw:
IAD-LAX-SYD(SO), SYD-ZQN(OJ), CHC-SYD-LAX-IAD
What's the alternative/usual requirement ?
