This reminds me of the scene from the
Airplane! movie with Leslie Nielsen (from 1980.) The plane finally lands, but it is skidding out of control, past every gate. The gate agent reads out the name of every gate, until it finally skids to halt. Then Leslie comes into the cockpit and says "Good luck, we are all counting on you."
