So I wait hours for the KE desks to open in BKK, after having done BKK-RGN-BKK today..... There are two flights on KE for BKK-ICN, I'm scheduled on the later one. At check-in I ask if I can go on the first flight (
there is availability). The TG agent doing KE First Check-In calls, and is told immediately "NO!" Another agent comes over and explains that they've been told that anybody coming from a RGN flight is not allowed to change
any part of their itinerary.
I point out to him that it is booked in P which is fully flexible after the first leg is flown. He said he knows this, but this is the directive they got from headquarters.
I'm a little upset now

, because the flight is just
one hour earlier than the one I'm on.... I ask to see a copy of the fare rules for the ticket, and he goes over to print them out, but comes back and says the computer is not working. I told him I can wait. He tells me that I can check in and he'll have somebody with them at the gate for my flight. I said I don't believe him, that they'll be busy and forget. He said they would be there. I told him I wouldn't get on the plane without them (
i'm totally bluffing). He says that's fine, because the agent will be there with them.....
I'm not really worried about this flight so much, but moreso my return flight, as I will most definitely need to change the dates on that one.
On a (
slightly scary) side note, he did ask me to make a copy of my TG boarding pass from RGN-BKK. TG let me check in on the earlier RGN-BKK flight today, and this agent here in BKK knew it. He told me
"this boarding pass is not from the original flight on the itinerary." It kind of caught me off guard when he said it!! I don't know if he's planning on doing something because I didn't
officially fly the exact flight that was on the itinerary. Kind of weird. Could I get in trouble because TG let me on an earlier flight?
