This.
I am female and usually find myself in a distinct minority in the forward cabins, but I did not take kindly to being chatted up even when I was single. I am a business traveler, and like most business travelers, don't really want to talk to any seatmates at all. (There have been many threads on this topic and I think the majority of FTers are in my camp.)
I don't have a problem chatting with people in other settings, but I don't want to do it on a plane: there is no chance to escape if it turns out that the person is supremely dull, or creepy, or annoying.
