Notwithstanding those statistics, I never had such luck. On the 50 crosscountry flight segments I've been on since becoming elite, I've had to sit next to a male on 49 of them. ...

Is it just by chance that I sit next to males all the time, or are there statistics suggesting that airline travelers (or elite airline travelers) skew male?
