Colombian Resident Exit Tax (LAN ticket bought from BA)
Has anybody had any experience of reclaiming the Resident Exit Tax of £24.30 from either LAN or BA? I have the requisite exemption certificate from Colombian immigration but LAN's check-in staff refused to refund the charge (although they said I was eligible for the refund) and told me to go to LAN's office in Lima (flying BOG-LIM). I spoke to BA as they sold me the ticket but they refused to get involved. Going to LAN's offices in downtown Lima is extremely incovenient, especially as as I understand it the airline is meant to refund the money at BOG airport. Anybody had any luck taking it up with either LAN or BA over the phone?
Thanks
