Stayed again last night, but had a colleague travelling with me, so I had booked two rooms. The hotel is pretty busy due to the usual London summer peak period, plus Wimbledon is in full swing.
Went to check in at 7pm and only one of the two rooms was available. We ended up having a bit of a conversation with the member of staff checking us in whilst she waited on feedback from housekeeping. After a few minutes it looked like there would be a bit of delay getting the 2nd room ready. We were both offered a drink in the bar and breakfast in the morning for the inconvenience of waiting for the room.
In the end, the room wasn't available until about 7:40pm, so not ideal. Have to praise the member of staff who looked after us well without any prompting. Good pro-active service once again.
