It won't be FTers cancelling, they will surely all be hanging on until the end of their first year in order to collect the rest of the quarterly 2,000 Avios bonuses for collecting with new partners from Avios.com
Mind you, if they regularly have double points promos like this one, or the westfield one (still waiting for the points by the way), I might keep it permanently.
It's also the best earn rate for foreign spend at 2.5 Avios per £.
