I was about to say just the same.... there are horror stories on full service carriers too, but my (thankfully very limited) LCC experiences very much support the "you get (the passengers) that you pay for"...
When I have been seriously delayed by EZY recently, they have given free drinks/snacks out once we got airborne. They have also distributed tap water where it made sense to do so.
That said, I have long thought EZY a better class of low-cost than the others, and this kind of thing just serves to back it up. That said I have never flown Jet2 (they don't serve Darn Sarf) and have generally heard good things about them.
