You won't find that kind of stuff on the AoI forums. You might be able to find something on
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/mileage-run-deals-372/, but no guarantees about USA-India showing up.
I can give some pointers though:
The best deals are usually available about 1.5-2.5 months out.
Do not rule out brick and mortar travel agencies or consolidators - the
good ones can provide a far better deal that you will find on your own.
Considering that you are flying from secondary airport to secondary airport, it might be a good idea to use seperate tickets - buying MLI/CID-JFK/ORD/YYZ seperately, and then JFK/ORD/YYZ-LKO is likely to save money. Buying 3 seperate tickets, First to USA/Canada gateway (JFK/ORD/YYZ), then from there to Delhi or Mumbai (more competition, so lower fares), and then from there to LKO.
