air canada public relation and customer service sucks
okay i was flying to my wedding in Portugal. Lots of time. Air Canada plane into yvr 3 hours late due to waiting for some first class passengers from another connecting flight. Yes they told us this. Plane was 5 hours late leaving to London. I explaned to the customer service rep in Yvr i needed not to miss my connecting flight. she said No problem you will make it or the other end will get you there. Well I missed my connection. Walked off the plane and got a ripped off sheet of paper and a pointed finger with the word next. walked around the airport got my new boarding passes. found out the next flight(all on an air canada tkt) was not leaving for 6 hours. left in 10 hours. Missed the train in the night for which i allowed 16hours to transfer too. Missed my own wedding. Had it a week later with only 15 people rather than the 45 orginally. Was sort of angry as i spent 15 thousand euros on the wedding plans.
Wrote to air canada on the way and afterwards. Guess what they said. well in the next flight you take on Air Canada we can offer you 10 percent off.
Lovely customer service. Really theraputic. compared to other airlines this really sucks as if i missed just a regular flight on another airline in the middle east or Asia they go out of their way to make it up to you. Not air canada..didn't even offer us lonuge acess in london. what crap/
