Ideally, I would buy a United Club membership, but I'm not 21 so there is the possibility that I'd lose it, though most likely I'd get refunded?

Thanks!
I don't think you have to be 21 to purchase a Club membership (but if you do they will reject your application before you pay any money). When you apply online for membership you do so through your MP number which will have your DOB in there. If your application is accepted and you pay the money you're in..they can't take it away from you after the fact..you have a contract. That is, assuming you were truthful about your age on the application, or if they simply don't ask about age. So if your preference is to join through UA then give it a try.

As for using a brand new US membership..they may be able to print you a temporary membership card that could be used at a UA Club. This isn't a question you'll be able to get answered over the phone though most likely..it's one of those things that will be up to the agent at the Club.
