I redeemed Chase Ultimate Reward points for a Delta ticket. Full MQMs were credited for the flight and I got upgraded on both legs. There was a cash equivalent noted on the itinerary under My Trips on Delta.com. Perhaps not the most prudent use of UR points, but I think the Sapphire Preferred card is a good compliment to any AmEx. Plus, I've noticed air fares on UR are not subject to the same markup you'll see for hotels.
