1. Can I use UA's miles to redeem flights for my family members?
2. Is it possible to transfer my KrisFlyer's points into MileagePlus?
3. Does the extra luggage allowance from MileagePlus Gold applies all Star Alliance's flights or just on United?

3 Star Alliance Gold policy is that you are allowed 1 additional checked bag:
From staralliance.com: Extra Baggage Allowance - an additional 20 kg (44 pounds) where the weight concept applies, or one additional piece of luggage where the piece concept applies.

So basically add one bag to the airline's luggage policy for the class you're flying in.
