I am not looking for a fare request (although I am free in the coming two weeks so please let me know if I should post somewhere else to ask for a fare to Asia in the next two weeks). My work has very flexible schedule so I may take time off to do MR when a deal comes up and personally I would like to travel to Japan or Asia to do the MR as I have friends and family there so may as well make use of the layover time to visit and tour around.

I am reading up the first two posts about the tools and am starting to learn using them. However, I heard many mentioned using different web sites to find flights, just wonder how are these strategies different from the conventional fare search on Kayak and Expedia. I am hoping to learn more skills in searching fare so I may seek, share and contribute as I am looking forward to having more visits to Asia in the coming years and hope to make this activity my hobby.
