In most New First (747-400 and 777-200) the RCA cable socket is obvious - it's right under the screen. On the 777-300 it's hidden away by the magazines to the side of the seat, just fore of the lamp and aft of the table. You may need to move the magazines to see this.
Great guide. The differences are between aircraft fitted with the Thales IFE system and aircraft embodied with New First (NF) but the current Rockwell Collins IFE system. If you have "Old First", there are no RCA connections available in any cabins.

Rockwell Collins aircraft that have been fitted with NF will only have the RCA connection available in First and that will be on the screen frame as you mentioned. All Thales fitted aircraft will have the 3 RCA connectors located in the seat area, with the exception of World Traveller which just has the yellow video connection on the seat back in front of you.

This also means that in World Traveller you must plug your headphones into YOUR device to listen to any soundtrack. All other cabins you can listen to the sound via the aircraft systems, assuming of course you plug your audio leads into the RCA sockets...
