I checked Easybus and fare is 13.98 for 2 from Gatwick to Earls Court/West Brompton. As final destination is Paddington, we r wondering if taking the bus and then a taxi from Earls court/west brompton to Paddington is a good idea. I googled cab fare came out to be 16.80.
Any suggestion anyone on best way to get from Gatwick to Paddington station or edgware station?
Appreciate transport suggestion : Paddington to LHR on Jul 5 for 7.30am flight.

Have you considered using a hire car service?
I have used both Simply Airports and Swiss Cottage before. I have found Simply Airports to be better than Swiss Cottage.
My last trip from near Bond Street tube station to LHR T3, 2 persons in a saloon car, about £26.
Since you should arrive LHR by no later than 5:45~6AM for your 7:30AM flight, the car pick up will be 5~5:15AM or so, there is no traffic to worry. It's "door to door"!
You can also arrange a pick up from Gatwick.
