Reinstate cancelled reward night. Hotel allow but PC website still show cancelled
long story short, I cancel a 4-days reward booking with a Holiday Inn - thinking to rebook it as a two double beds that just show up available.
but when I tried to rebook, PC website indicates no more reward night available in that hotel.
So I call PC representative (that unfortunately did not help much), they said just to contact the hotel directly and see if I can reinstate the previous reservation.
Called the hotel, they are willing to reinstate (hotel said that they still several rooms available though PC website indicates none available for reward).
i am just concern though as PC website still indicates that the reservation still cancel.
But when I called the hotel a few days later, they said no problem, my original reservation still valid and in their system.
Anybody experienced this before? What I should do here? I just curious how the hotel can reclaim those point back from PC if it is cancelled in their web system....
