Years ago I had a few 35mm film cameras that had remote controls. Boy that was nice. Now I'm looking for a point & shoot that has remote control capability. I'm not looking for a DSLR. I would like to find something with a good zoom, eyepiece, etc.

I did find a Kodak, but my partner tells me that I'm not allowed to buy a Kodak because of a bad experience more than 10 years ago. Is it impossible to find this kind of camera in another brand, preferably Canon or Nikon? I'm considering the Coolpix P510 sold at Costco, but it has no remote capability.

BTW, my preferred budget is $200-$500.
