It's pretty much known that CX orders low-grade food across their flights, this is no surprise. This is why I don't eat airline food, even in Business Class, I prefer to stuff my stomach before flight, and eat fruits and at best, noodle-soups to keep me going long enough to eat at a decent restaurant in Hong Kong.
I may be biased but I can care less about food as long as CX keep their service level up to premium standard. The day on-board service degenerate into western-airline standards is the day that massive foreign-based flyers migrate back to their homeland airlines.
I wouldn't be surprised if most of the calories I get in F on CX are from alcohol.
