Hi Tim, Great to share a drink with you in BOS lounge.
On my flight out to BOS on a 777 it was also a little dirty with food stains on the fold down tray, I am starting to assume this is why we are given the Elemis lavender face towel

, However it wasn't as bad as the 747's.
I received the below reply a few weeks ago about the same issue. Maybe if enough of us mention something will actually happen, But i wont be holding my breath!
Thank you for contacting us about your recent flight to Washington and please accept my apologies for the delay in replying to you. I am sorry to hear that on your recent flights the plane looked dirty. It is not what you would expect of British Airways and unpleasant particularly on a long flight.
We know how important the aircraft’s appearance and cleanliness is to our customers. We have made improvements to our cabin environment a top priority. This has meant spending more on specialist cleaning equipment and setting up new performance-based contracts with the cleaning company we use.
We have also re-examined our own processes to make sure that problems in the cabin are dealt with as quickly as possible. Everything is recorded and passed on to our maintenance team as soon as the aircraft lands, so they can put it right.
We understand our customers expect the highest standards when they travel with us. Many of our existing aircraft are having their cabins upgraded, in order to provide a higher level of quality and comfort than ever before. We also have brand new aircraft on order from Boeing and Airbus. Some of these are already in use and more are being introduced over the coming months.
I am pleased to hear the rest of your flight was enjoyable. I hope I have been able to reassure you we are determined to offer our customers the best in-flight experience possible. We do value your comments as a Silver Executive Club member and we appreciate you taking the time to get in touch. We look forward to welcoming you on board again soon.
