I think that it is all down to us PAX. Many years ago it used to take, particularly on SH, at least an hour from the plane arriving and the doors opening to start of boarding for the return flight. This time was used by the ground cleaning crew, collecting rubbish, hoovering the cabin and cleaning the loos. Now as a result of PAX pressure for a fast turnround a SH plane can be turned around in 15 mins from the last PAX getting off to start of boarding!
