Hi all,
Apologies if this is the wrong place, there are quite a dizzying number of forums here and I didn't find a similar topic through search.
I bought a flight on Orbitz for a few months in the future. Unfortunately, my circumstances have changed quite dramatically recently, so I may have to cancel it. It's quite a serious situation (proof can be provided if necessary).
Orbitz recently e-mailed me to say there had been a schedule change: it looks pretty minor, just my flight leaving an hour later and arriving at the same time as before. It says
"If the updated itinerary below is acceptable, no further action is necessary."
if it's not acceptable (i.e. I want to cancel anyway), does that mean I have the right to cancel?
I'm guessing it may depend on the fare rules, but is there any general rule of thumb for cancelling due to a scheduling change? Even the airfare back as Orbitz credit would be fine.
Thanks
