Squillions of people every day make journeys on trains and buses where the journey times can be of similar length to many short haul flights. They seem to manage perfectly well without a food or drink service on board. Why is it airline passengers seem to have difficulty in this department?

Train or bus travel also for many passengers involves standing for large parts of the journey, maybe BA should introduce this innovation too?
