Looks like a Point of Sale issue on the fare. I'd go through the booking on the US site and get the fare you want. When you get to the payment page click the link to finish by phone so that the reservation is held. Then call the local reservations number and complete the purchase with your CC. Should work out just fine and get you the cheaper fare.
