But hey, negotiated benefit in a contract = stealing from elites. Because those elites EARNED that upgrade on a $149 transcon...

And people wonder why employee morale in a legacy airline is rotten. Well, if I regularly dealt with people who thought that I should be replaced with a 20-something in a cheongsam from Singapore who's easy on the eyes, and that any benefit I had over minimum wage and crusts of bread was stealing from their hard-earned* elite benefits, and I was about to get my pay and benefits cut anyway, I might not have a song in my heat and a smile on my face 24/7/365 either.

* by many thousands of dollars of credit card spend and sitting in luxury airline seats eating sundaes on free upgrades
