I thought this would deserve a separate thread
I was visiting upstate NY and had an early flight out of BUF on UA. Because BUF does not have a United Club, I decided to use my membership to get into the US club.
While not having flown US for years--I have to say the lounge experience was a huge refresher from the headache that is the new United.
Friendly staffers at the BUF club. Welcoming and hospitable, as opposed to the COdbaUA lounge dragons who say "OK" and hand you your membership card. Asked where I was going, enjoy my trip etc, wifi.
Granted I know BUF is a small station for everybody, it was great not to have to wait in line and see huge crowds everywhere.
Also enjoyed the morning food selection, oversized bran and blueberry muffins with yogurt. No cereal, but the amount of food more than made up for it. Just felt calm and relaxing, like a lounge is supposed to feel.
US can definitely "school" UA into treating its premium customers a bit better. In this era of $375 lounge memberships for free wi-fi and trail mix, I think the US experience (atleast in BUF) is a cut above the rest.
