Luckily I haven't come across this yet, though in HK we did come across a hotel that was a little too anxious to refill the mini bar and charged me for a few things we drank before I could replace them. Front desk was good about taking the charge off though when I put the replacements on the counter and told them I'd put the drinks in the closet to use the fridge space!
