Recently, I flew TPA-LAS, AA F. Mileage as a non stop flight (if it existed), would be 1980 miles, just 20 below the crucial 2000 threshold. However, the flight also includes a stop in MIA, so the actual distance flown is 2375 miles.
Should TPs be awarded based on 1980 miles, or 2375 miles?
If you flew TPA-MIA-LAS in F, then you will get TPA-MIA F TPs (60) + MIA-LAS F TPs (210).
However if it booked as a single flight number the whole way, as a 1-stop service, I suspect you'd only be getting TPA-LAS F TPs (60), which seems very harsh.
