There are no posters, no banners, no flags, nothing. When Vancouver held the Winter Olympics, everywhere you see posters on bus stops, banners, flags, and the mood of the city was just vibrant. Here in London where I am now, the mood is the opposite. There are road blocks, strikes, inefficient staff at railways, airports, and basically everything else that hadn't worked properly before in London is even in a worse off condition now !

I had an issue with buying a ticket on the trains (Southeastern). So I call their websupport which is of course not Southeastern trains but an outsourced company. They refer me to Customer Support, and they refer me back to websupport. Back and fro - no one will take the responsibility in helping the customer. I find US customer services to be so much better than UK ones.

Landing in London Heathow to go to St Pancras turned out to a daunting task. One may take the HEX to Paddington then to the Tube to somewhere and change to another line. Great.. but the Tube is not made for people with lugagge ie steps rather than just escalators. Shouldn't be Crossrail be opened by now? But the interesting question is WHY has it not be built till now?
