Hello. I am a Delta gold medallion and I am flying (on miles) from LAX-SYD. The BizElite cabin is practically empty......will they fly that cabin almost empty? Or will they upgrade medallions as a courtesy? I have been upgraded many times when I was traveling on miles (domestic or to Mexico), but I don't know my chances of getting the upgrade on a long-haul international flight. Any tips to get upgraded....either ahead of time.....at the ticket desk....or at the gate, would be greatly appreciated!
