honest question, does HKG-SIN really have the traffic to warrant a 744 for a 3 hour flight? i've never been on it so i really do wonder. quality of seating aside, if they were able to foot the route on a 737 or even consider it that makes me believe maybe the 744 doesn't fly full. or is there more to this that i'm missing?
I was scheduled to fly 116 a week ago (it was delayed and I caught another flight) and it was completely full, as was the other SIN departure to NRT on a 777. I don't know if a 747 operating SIN-NRT will go out full, but it seems to me that UA is missing out on potential passengers by using a 737 on that route.
