This morning at DFW Terminal C (hundreds of people in line at security) I attempted to use the Pre line and the TSA computer cleared me for entry but NOT for the Pre line. The randomness of this really diminishes the value of the program (for me). Additional fun is the TSA supervisor saying "It's all up to the airline," and AA customer service saying, "It's all up to TSA." my takeaway: can't plan on Pre.
