I think this is a very interesting thread. I always thought CO's ads were horrible, horrible, horrible. Their only success was letting people know the new IMPROVEMENTS (new planes, DTV) CO was doing.

now that its all dis-improvements, that approach is dead. Talking about network (when any other alliance can do the same thing) is stupid. But its a reflection of what the Houston folks think, network will fix any deficiencies in service levels. I think the slogan that best reflects UAs current thinking would be:

"who cares - you will fly us anyway - you have to"
