A380 will not dock at the 'main' bit of terminal 2E but at satellite S3 (or possibly at S4 if after it opens) so that makes the transit a little bit longer. You'll be fine if your plane is on time but as mentioned, a delay of over 30 minutes could be a real problem.
The main issue on the multiple PNRs and being many people is the risk that AF finds seats for some of you but not others. You should get ready to possibly need to 'split' between your wife and yourself to take some of the kids each if AF can't accommodate you all on the same flights. As you rightly point out, many flights leave with few to no empty seats at this time of year.
As mentioned by others, you will get fast track immigration and fast track security which will speed things up a bit, but if your first flight is late, even if you make your connection, whether or not your bags follow is for anyone to guess.
