Only J ticket I ever bought with my own money was during what was probably a pricing error (when AC had the Queen's Jubilee price match with BA, but extended it for the whole year not just a few days) - that was a Z ticket for only slightly more than normal economy pricing (YYZ-LHR at Christmas).
