What was the error, I've used paypal to pay BA without any issues or delays, did you have sufficient funds in your paypal account to pay for the flight(s) taxes? or was it funded by your back up credit card. If the latter, this may be causing the delay as they (paypal) will need to obtain authorisation from the credit card company prior to processing the payment/ transfer. The credit card issuer may be carrying out additional security checks prior to approving the transfer to the paypal account.
