I will now wait until I fly over 5K eqp and then call back and ask if they can do this for me.
I have an itinerary giving roughly 16,000 EQP. Was advised to do the platinum challenge, and to call them right after my first flight (when connecting) (which alone is giving 6,700 EQP) for an immediate upgrade to Gold, but wasn't able to get the status right away. I asked if it wouldn't take a few days for the flights to post, but was told they'd look it up and see the the segment in the e-ticket as flown and bump me to gold right away, and again do the same when I hit the 10,000 EQP for PLT.
