Yeah but...

According to seatguru the current 73g seats on FL are 1" wider than the coach seats on WN

From the perspective of a FL passenger, the new seats will have the same pitch but lose 1" in width.

Somewhere, WN is claiming that the new seats will be lower than the existing seats. I don't understand how this can be since a) the old seat frames are being reused and b) the seats need to meet a (vertical?) acceleration standard (on GA it is either 7g or 9g..not sure about the exact number for Part 121 but I am quite sure that the standard is more rigorous). If you decrease the height of the seat, you are also reducing the vertical "crush zone" and will decrease the vertical acceleration that the seat is capable of withstanding.

Sooner or later, the haze will clear
