I'm not picking a fight and surely planemechanic has more info if he's an employee (I assume). However, I've been watching the upgrades for months and post on Anet. Based on what I've seen for narrowbody conversions, I thought 36 hours might have been possible if manpower is added vs. narrowbody conversion. I also know the first one needs an STC and subsequent ones (after unit #2) keep getting a bit quicker as the crew becomes more more familiar with the conversion.
I don't know what's going at at HKG in regards to the company(ies) UA hires to do mods. There are a couple of mod lines or more plus an 18 hour RON that could be getting some servicing. So, if the manpower is static or somewhat static, then more lines means more time per aircraft.
It would be great to have more info on how these mods are done in HKG.
