I agree with the OP's gist -- of course F is a better experience than C, but, for a professional traveling for business, I find it inappropriate to spend company money on F in most cases. Of course we could come up with some special circumstances, but generally, if I were the owner of a company, then I would feel comfortable paying for people to travel in long-haul C but not F. (And that is the travel policy that I established, and the practice that i generally adopt with my own money.)
