Good! Hopefully they'll be doing this more often and not just at AMS. The size of some of the cabin baggage that some people are taking on is absolutely insane. It's actually very selfish, not to mention potentially dangerous if they dropped it on someone while trying to lift in in or out of the locker.
My understanding is that the person standing half way down the air bridges at LHR is there for the same purpose of checking hand luggage size and checking it in if a full flight and likely to cause capacity problems. Am I right?
